New Haven is a band/project with two childhood friends now living far apart in Norway. Karl is the engineer behind most of the instruments and sounds while Henrik is focusing on the vocals and lyrics. The songs will be born either by Karl making a melody line and sending it to Henrik for the vocal layers and lyrics. Or we will come together and just jam it out after a long day and night with lots of instruments, loops, sounds, ideas and coffee...lots of coffee. Songs made in the winter tend to be more somber while summer songs have a more cheerful edge. The song "Letting Go" was used in a tv-series called "Dag" when it was signed on for Netflix. The song "The Road" was inspired by the book by Cormack McCarthy. The other songs are inspired by real life occurrences with friends, family, girlfriends or lonely experiences at home or living abroad. Please enjoy!
