I would like to say something about this "jazz life" I have traveled, that I would not have traded anything for in the world. In selecting the material for this 2 CD set, from all my recorded work, over the last 52 years I tried to give as much variety in musical style and settings to match the enjoyment it has been for me to have the opportunity to do all these different things. So many people to thank starting with my Mom and Dad who were wonderful musicians, my brother Bob, an inspiration on trumpet from early on and my sister Yvonne a wonderful singer and pianist, all part of my musical family where all this started. Also the many jazz legends and celebrities I have had the privilege of recording and performing with from Benny Goodman to Chick Corea and Suzanne Somers, all who gave me so much support and inspiration. My wife Diana of 33 years who helped me take this journey to a whole other level along with my wonderful daughter Christine and special thanks to my nephew Chris Vitti who helped me so much with my website glennzottola.com that parallels this album and documents my life in visual form with video. Thank you to all my fans through the years for listening, you made it all worth it. lastly my good friend Irv Kratka who made it possible for me to tell this musical story, thank you Irv! With Love, Glenn Zottola
