GG Pender has a soulful style that combines R & B and gospel to connect with listeners through relatable lyrics. Her main goal is to not only captivate listeners through her voice, but to also immerse them in a full-cerebral experience. To deal with pain and grief of Hurricane Katrina, a teenage GG wrote a song entitled "I Cry," which won her the prestigious High School Grammy Award held annually at Pace University. The song was recorded in the World Famous, Jimmy Hendrix Studio in Manhattan. Pender has worked with producer Gussy Corleone to produce two songs that have her poised to emerge as a singular artist. She is influenced by industry heavyweights Whitney Houston, Lauryn Hill, Mary J. Blige, and Aaliyah.
