The third pitstop on Eric Penn's waterfall-released car-concept album R.I.D.E. (Relax, Indulge, Drift, Escape). Featuring Tony and Oscar-nominated actor Joshua Boone, "Burnout" is a moody, intense portrait of loving someone past the point of forward motion — all that friction and heat, still stuck in place. Premiered on Sleeping on Gems, with a live performance on the Red Couch show and a Washington D.C. show at Shanklin Hall.
