This is our first original composition since our last album “Crossings”, and also our first time to include electronic elements in our works. This shorter version is an edit for radio and also the arrangement used in some performances, consisting of the introduction and the latter half of the original piece. After an introduction featuring the xiao and saxophone, the piece enters its lively main theme, as the cello plays a bass line in pizzicato. The theme represents the invention of the telescope, which shortens the distance between men and the celestial objects afar, and helps us gradually learn the truth that we so desired. Humans are small and insignificant, but our curiosity for the unknown pushed us to explore the universe, and to move boldly towards the unknown – as signified by the energetic ending of the piece.
