The Days Are Long And Filled With Pain When New York Times editor Neil Strauss said in his review of Maximilian Hecker's debut album »Infinite Love Songs« that the Berliner »whispers the most precious and fragile heartbreak of them all«, he obviously referred to one of the album's key tracks, »The Days Are Long And Filled With Pain«, a song »sounding more deathbed confession than pop song«, as Mojo's Sharon O’Connell put it. For a remixer now, this surely is an open goal to create the bittersweet sound of two worlds colliding: of deathbed meeting dancefloor, of precious whisper meeting Cher effect.
