I was born in Havana, Cuba and relocated to Miami, Florida when I was six. I lived and grew up in Miami just like many other Cuban kids whose families escaped Fidel Castro’s tyranny over the Spanish island. But my life didn’t go as planned like many others. At the Age of 16, I lost my parents due to a catastrophic event within my family. All that I had known for my short life had been gone and all that was left remaining for me was just feelings of shock, disgrace and tragedy. I would tell anyone with no hesitation that my parents loved me with all their heart. But the love/hate relationship between them was always something I had to live with as I grew up. That horrific incident did change my life but I didn’t let it take over my life. Actually, I believe it made me stronger and more mature. I realized I had to put my tragic past behind me and with the support of certain family, friends and most of all God, I kept walking closer to my calling. My motivation to write poetry and then music kept increasing more and more through all my hard times. Eventually, I realized I had a gift to tell stories through my music. I want everyone that listens to my music to be motivated, energized and inspired to take life by the horns and always fight for what they want.
