Visual/Instrumental Overview Of Tracks: Big Totoro: Rhodes, Electric Bass, Guitar, Sax, drums It would be helpful to image search the word “Totoro” as this will probably answer a lot of questions. Totoro is a gigantic furry character from the Miyazaki film “My neighbor Totoro.” He is like a huge ewok, but far more awesome. This song, while somewhat melancholy in tone, is actually a cheery overall. It sort of imagines a world where the Totoro’s might be threatened, but after some good natured mysterious Totoro dancing merriment, all is well and they are triumphant. Waiting in the Fog: Piano, e bass, guitar, sax, drums One can sing “I’ll waiting in the fog for you” over the opening melody line. This is sort of a murderous love song from a wraith. The ghoul has picked a victim, and is now professing its true and sincere intentions to wait as long as it takes to kill him or her. Shortly thereafter the victim happens upon some fog, and the ghoul moves in. Following the buildup unison C chord the murder is in full swing. This would be horrible for a human, but if you are a wraith that lives only to kill, things are pretty awesome. Following the climax/death the wraith retreats to its fog to reflect on the future. Sunshine: Wurly, Piano, e bass, guit, sax, violin, trombone, sax, drums Bombastic, overly self important sounding song. Think John Williams. This is a song about love in the face of a zombie apocalypse. A man singing to a woman. They met after the zombies started killing everybody, and are holed up somewhere, facing certain horrible death. The man is urging the woman to go to sleep, saying that he will protect her. The piano outro is sort of a slow zoom out montage of their hideout, with an endless wall of zombies approaching, ending with a close shot of the man looking lovingly at the woman, who is asleep. Sharon and Richard: wurly, e bass, guitar, trombone, sax, drums This is my musical impression of my in-laws, who are awesome. Haribo: Piano, Upright bass, drums Imagine being really relaxed, wandering through a mansion, and coming across a room filled with the freshest Haribo candies. They are unwrapped, and well presented on platters, trays, etc. You try some. That was good.. The Last Beautiful Thing in the World: Piano Remember that scene in The Neverending story where everything has blown up, and there are only rocks floating in space, one of which contains the princess? This scene is like that, except instead of a princess it’s whatever you hold most dear.
