“Wayland and Deborah play up a storm! Great musicians!” Roger Williams • Grammy-Award Winning Piano Recording Artist “Your latest (albums) are way beyond. The CLASSICS ROCK is so wonderful!” Phyllis Diller • Commedienne & Concert Pianist These Vocal and Instrumental Duets establish WAYLAND PICKARD & DEBORAH JOHNSON as AMERICA’S PREMIER PIANO/VOCAL DUO. From HOLLYWOOD with the music from Titanic, Exodus and the Lion King to BROADWAY with Phantom Of The Opera and Think Of Me, they have recorded these fresh versions of some of the world’s favorite songs. And they have included 4 original duets of their own! What started out with a cup of coffee at Starbucks turned in to DOUBLE GRANDÉ. With the ability to go from jazz to pop to classics, they discovered their arranging styles were an easy match. Both Wayland and Deborah are consummate musicians with many awards to their credit. They are not only National Recording Artists, but they are Touring Musicians and Composers with songs placed in film and TV. LA Metro Magazine calls WAYLAND the new MR. ENTERTAINMENT and DEBORAH’S voice is likened with SARA BRIGHTMAN and STREISAND. With both Deborah’s and Wayland’s musical heritages tracing back to grandmothers who came overseas to play violin in Carnegie Hall, you will be astounded at the fact that two stars in their own galaxies came together to collide and explode as the new DOUBLE GRANDÉ EXPERIENCE.
