Scream is an interrogation with, of, and by self on many levels. It marks my deliberate return to my traditional voice of advocating for the oppressed and disposed of planet earth. Scream also questions mankind’s ability to speak. The world has become a smaller space forcing persons with divergent views and opinions to co-exist in juxtaposed positions often uncomfortably, but politically correctly so it is fine or so it seems. But is it? For while we respectfully agree to disagree on many issues and positions on them, one is also cognizant of the importance of hearing, seeing, feeling, and respecting the other side as by doing so, we gain new insight and grow. But it ought to be the individual’s choice to speak. The truth hurts. If you cannot speak, you are dead. Stay alive.
