I love the sound of a guitar. I love when I can blend it into my songs and create something new. I don't really get to hear strings that much anymore in songs nowadays. A guitar can make a song feel alive. I particularly like how it sounds in my song, "Tristan". I wrote it several years ago about someone I knew that died of ALS. That song means so much, because even though time goes on, it doesn't signify that the memories have faded. If anything, they've become stronger. This song illustrates the pain of finding out someone is gone, but for me it also provides comfort in the fact that at least I personally am blessed for having met Tristan.
