Mental health affects so many individuals and most people don’t even realise it. As humans we go through experiences that can affect us positively, or for the worst. Some people might not recover from these experiences. When we go through painful situations such as an unexpected death of someone you love, or a heartbreak that leaves you in pieces, the one thing that happens is that these scenarios keep playing like a song that’s put on repeat. It’s stuck in your head and you hate the fact that you can’t stop thinking about it. This song takes us to a places of confusion, doubt, hurt and anger. Being someone with anxiety, I’m prone to overthinking anything negative that happens to me, I think about it so much I have to pray to God to heal me, and forget about it even if it’s for a minute. I play the situation over and over and over again. It’s not healthy, but I can’t control it. Other people use alcohol or drugs (depends on the person on the pain) to forget about these thoughts.
