Drawing inspiration from artists like Erykah Badu, Amy Winehouse, and Nai Palm, Alayna Renae creates a sound where genres collide into a variation of Indie Neo Soul R&B. She generates an atmospheric vibe that allows you to sink into her music and float along her flowing melodies. She believes that everyone's relationship with music is personal and is anything but inanimate. She feels music flow through herself and wants nothing more than to help others find their song. "Whether you are in deep within your troubles or happy as the freest bird, singing is one most versatile ways to express emotions. When you can't explain how your mind is reacting, you can always sing your soul." Alayna was raised by a parental duo of professional musicians in Orlando, FL. She spent her childhood listening to her mother sing Big Band music accompanied by her father on the piano. Developing a love for various types of music and instruments, she learned how to play drums and guitar at a young age. While attending college at Florida State, Alayna played at local venues and events covering crowd pleasing hits and sharing her own music. She joined a few bands and found that her vocal style was influenced by many genres. After realizing how much she loved to perform, Alayna moved to Nashville on Valentine's Day of 2014 to grow among like-minded musicians. She has collaborated with many artists and released two singles through Firebreath Records. Currently, she is working on her first EP titled 'Sing Your Soul' to be released by the end of the year.
