Stacey Aasiya-Bey enjoys a successful calling as a singer/songwriter, a journey that began when she was a teenager singing with siblings at various churches throughout Alabama. She grew up listening to Quartet style music and artists like Mahalia Jackson. She quotes Whitney Houston and Yolanda Adams as some of her favorite artists. When she moved to California, and after earning a degree in Psychology, she worked as a worship director in a non-denominational ministry where she developed youth and young adults in their various singing potentials. She organized/directed praise teams/choirs for plays, concerts, and special singing events at the Walt Disney Theme Park for instance. She is currently working on a new project "Stacey Aasiya-Bey's Worship Collection" that signifies various styles of music for worship and the single from this Album "My Help" along with a bonus track "Where Would I Be" is indicative of a bluesy feel and a jazz influence, respectively. In her role as wife and mother, she successfully manages her time singing at conferences, weddings, and gives private lessons while furthering her educational objective in music and science.
