Kenny.S，又名艺妓人，出身传统音乐世家。外祖父是长呗大师杵屋佐京，外祖母是三味线演奏者杵屋加登绪，祖母曾是江户风韵浓厚的艺妓。童年时，无血缘关系的美军上校Russel C. Jackson成为他的祖父，家中厨房终日播放驻日美军远东广播电台（FEN），让1960至70年代的美国音乐萦绕耳畔。他以独唱艺人身份开启职业生涯，后加入札幌老牌现场音乐酒吧，成为EZO ROCK AMATO乐队成员，这支乐队由Chuck Berry乐队亲自指导，演绎美式摇滚翻唱并发行原创作品。两年半后离队，他暂别音乐，在札幌创立MOUNTAIN HIGH TATTOO WORKS纹身工作室。沉寂十六年后，他以Kenny.S之名重返音乐，身兼作曲家、吉他手与视觉创作者多重身份。 Kenny.S a.k.a GEISHA-MAN, is the grandson of Enju, who was once said to be the most traditional Edo geisha. His grandfather was Sakyo Kineya, a master of Nagauta (a style of traditional Japanese music), and his grandmother was Katoo Kineya, a shamisen player. He grew up in a family deeply rooted in traditional Japanese music. During his childhood, he was raised in a peculiar family environment where Colonel Russel C. Jackson of the U.S. Air Force, who was not related by blood, became his grandfather. He was influenced by the American music of the 1960s and 1970s that flowed from the U.S. military radio station FEN (Far East Network), which was always on in the kitchen. He began his career as a solo artist and later joined EZO ROCK AMATO, a band directly mentored by the Chuck Berry Band, in Sapporo's oldest live bar. They performed cover songs of classic rock based on American music and released original tracks. After two and a half years with the band, he left and put his music activities on hold to start a tattoo studio called MOUNTAIN HIGH TATTOO WORKS in Sapporo. After 16 years of silence, he resumed his music career under the name Kenny S. as a composer, guitarist, and visual creator.
