A duo composed of the singer-songwriter and ukelelista Jenny Moule (UK) and the jazz-guitarist Damien Poots (Argentina). Their debut EP, Fe Fi Fo Fum, combines folk, jazz, dream pop, theatrical narration and indie and soul influences. Damsel Talk is a performance, Jenny Moule fashions herself as a 1950s diva - a trashy doll - with a big quiff and doves in her hair. Unlike the naive and speechless damsel of folklore, here is a dame that talks in seductive melodies. Her lyrics conjure a mythical and surreal world of zebras, drag queens and confetti, but also confess the personal: feelings of loneliness, abandonment in a hotel room in Poland and a wish to fall in love.
